Profile of Rexon Day Forensic

Rexon Day Forensic is a division of Rexon Day Limited. It was established in 1982, and is headed up by Colin Richardson BEng, CEng, FICE, MCIWEM, MASCE, MCIArb, and MEWI. We are Forensic Engineers, investigating failures, collapses and disasters, establishing the cause of the failure and providing advice upon which party we consider to be at fault.

We are no strangers to the rigours of Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules when it comes to preparing expert evidence. As well as working back-to-front in assessing why failures have happened, our engineers are also responsible for the structural design of their own projects in the traditional sense. This means that valuable lessons learned from forensic investigations are fed back into the design process and vice versa. We think that this makes us rather unique.

Rexon Day Forensic has investigated and provided expert evidence in connection with an extraordinary range of damage. These are usually as a result of one or more of the following:

·         Defective Workmanship

·         Defective design

·         Defective materials

·         Poor interfacing between designers

·         Poor project management

·         Accidents

The firm has worked continuously for Local Authorities, Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Solicitors and Corporate Clients and we are most appreciative of the fact that such a significant part of our workload results from repeat orders.
